I am still trying to get my tach to work. I sent an e-mail to Willcox but haven't got a responce yet. With the filter hooked up it does Nothing. By-passing the filter it sits at 5000 with the key off & goes to 5500 with the key on but does nothing withh the engine running. So do I need a new circuit board on the back of the tach or the printed circuit on the back of the cluster ? The needle moves freely & I do have 12 volts & ground at the tach terminals. I just don't want to buy something I don't need to fix it.

The printed circuit board has nothing to do with the operation of the tach. From what you posted with the tach moving any at all... it tells me the board is getting power and ground. If you removed the filter.. I'd have to say the tach board is your issue.
