I replaced my stock rotors with slotted and dimpled rotors .I am sorry I did. The rotors look cool but they make noise. There is a constant swishing coming from the rotors.I put my 73 up on jack stands and you can hear the noise. All the bearings assembly were rebuilt by Van Steel and new u joints were installed.I called the company and they said it was normal. I think I will put my stock rotors back on. Anybody has the same problem? Thanks for your imput,Charlie.
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
I might be interested if the price is right since I can't really hear anything over the 427ci. I an a little hesitant though because some things can be very irritating
I can't really tell the difference in braking .It just a case of not asking before buying. I have a new set of stock rotors I might put them on my 73. I will try to post pictures in a couple of days. Charlie
Slotted and cross-drilled brakes allow off gassing of the brake pads during extreme and prolonged braking. If you're racing, that's good, if not, it's a waste of money...IMHO.
I did it for looks only. I was not expecting any better braking. My rotors were shot so I got them. I have not noticed any noise at all but my car is fairly loud so it would not bother me at all. What pads are you using with them?
If you were driving it fast enough you wouldn't hear it.

And if you were driving your Corvette like I drive mine, you'd be way too busy to worry about it.
All my rotors were between .0002 and .0005,so they should be alright.I am running Hawk pads and I used on my stock rotors with no noise. I noticed the noise in town between 35 and 50 mph. I should drive it hard but my wife is my insurance agent.
