my suggestion is have it rebuilt. try Nelson specialtys racing ignitions.they are in Charlotte n.c. do a Google search. Nelson has been in buisness over 40 years and has built systems for NASCAR teams and N.H.R.A. Pro Stock teams. for a good rebuild he's your guy
All the parts are available to rebuild the unit. You can do the job yourself, as long as you don't have to machine the bushings or have high wear in the housing from the tach drive gear. If you have worn bushings or damage in the tach drive gear area...and you can't do that work...have it rebuilt. If nothing is excessively worn, just get the parts you need to replace, clean it all up, and put it back together. I would suggest that you replace the 'trigger' wire while you're at it.

I do know that you can send it in to the dyno shop and they will rebuild and repair it- all they need to know is what modifications you have done to the engine
When I worked there, we did that all the time, and for a very nominal fee.
Back then they not only had the correct bushings in stock at all times, but a variety of spring sets too. If the distributor shaft happened to be bad, they always had those in stock as well. And it was a rather common thing to replace; believe it or not!
