Hurst Shifter Linkage Installation
I have a '73 with a Muncie 4 speed and a Hurst shifter. I replaced my clutch and was reinstalling the shifter linkage when I hit a wall...
Couple of questions:
1. Does the interlock linkage still get connected to the reverse? When I connect it the cable comes up about 1 1/2 inches too short.
2. After 4 hours, I have all the forward gears working but not reverse. I can get it about 1/2 way into gear but it just won't slide in. Any ideas?
Also I could be imagining it but it sounds louder when it's sliding in and out of gear than it did before....
