Default vintageair condensation

I put this thing on back last fall.Cools great.I hooked up the drain hose thru the firewall just like it said to.No blockages that I can tell.I even ran a borscope up the tube.I dont see anything that would cause it to not drain.I ran it yesterday for about 10 min and for the life of me there is no water draining out.None in the floor on the inside either.Cools its *** off but its 97deg here. What gives.

I would not worry about it unless water shows up inside the car. I do not see where you live. Arizona? If the humidity is really low you may not get condensation. mike...

MS,It was right at 65% yesterday. My truck drains out in the driveway shortly after turning it on.Its got to be going somewhere.I felt around the evaporator case and drain tube. Its not leaking inside.I just don't want water accumulating in the case and getting funky.I may try blowing some air in the tube and see if it dose any different.I hope there's nothing floating around inside from where it was assembled blocking it off.The last thing I need is to have to take this thing back out.

Either very low condensation or the evaporator is freezing up, but in a normal humidity climate it should start to thaw and drain after a while.
10 minutes really isn't long enough anyway.

You can search threads here, but apparantly VA has a habit of freezing coils and it is even addressed in their manuals, but a much longer test is in order.

Yep......My VA kit has been freezing up since day one, over a year ago...... I had it freeze up yesterday after about 40 mins.....reduced air flow and vent temps shot up from 38-40* up to about 58* and rising..... Once I parked at the show and let it sit for about 20 mins, I had an OCEAN flowing from under the drain......looked like a half gallon or so.....no doubt its freezing up inside and out...

I gotta call VA about this because its pissing me the hell off....... The kit works great and cools well......just not consistantly or for longer then 30 mins at a time....

This is something that I'd like to do one day. I'm interested to hear what VA has to say about this apparent problem.

I have never left the garage with it on yet.Its never been on more than 15 min.My Toyota I drive everyday starts draining after 3 or 4 min in this heat.Dose yours drain till it starts freezing up.I emailed va last week but haven't hurd from them yet. When I get a chance to get the car an alignment I will run it longer and see what happens.I just got the rear suspension back in it a few days ago.I had to change out the side yokes.
