I've changed my '68 roaster, 327/350hp, 4 speed manual's diff from a 3.36 to a 4.11. To correct the speedo I've been told that I need to get an orange gear, GM part #3860348.
1. Does this sound correct or how can I verify this?
2. Of course that part is discontinued, any suggestions where I can find one?
Thanks

Zip sells the speedo gears. If your speedo was right before then you want a gear with 4.11/3.36 = 1.22 times the number of teeth on the orginal gear. The bigger gear will slow the speedo reading down. Select it by the number of teeth, not the color.
