:Hi Everyone , new guy here ....Have a 77 vette that my wife and I bought about 5 years ago and we're having a great time with it. Last weekend I went to start it and nothing no power at all. I do have a quick disconnect for batt , and when I first tried I had lights but when turning the key lights went out . checked batt and it's got juice .next pulled starter and it's good , the last thing I did was put in a new starter switch , still nothing ... any ideas?
Neutral start switch failure; starter solenoid failure; ignition key/fuse/wiring problem; transmission interlock system problem; battery cable/connection problem; dumb auto parts guy doesn't know how to "load test" a battery.
Will take batt and have them " load test " and remove the starter and have them test the solenoid . with that said is there an inline fuse near the starter end of the batt cable also ..? thanks guys you've given me some other areas to think about if this dosn't work ..oh also checked the fuses at the fuse box up at the top of firewall , and everything is ok ..
