Default 1969 offset rear trailing arms

i have a 69 convert. and i'm intrested in changing to offset trailing arms. it seems that there are 3 different types. offset, double offset, and coil/over offset arms. anyone have experience with any or all of these? what are the differences, challenges, advantages? does anybody offer them complete with rotors, berings, ect.? are there any articles on installion (hopefull with pictures)? what are the largest size wheel and tire combination i can expect to put under the stock wheelwells with these different types of offset trailing arms? also, i'm intrested in upgrading the front supension a-arms to tubular (square/round/ect.) any good suggestions?

We make/offer all of the above.

Offsets allow for a wider rim and tire. Good for 17"+ rims

Double offsets are the same as the std offsets except the spring bolt hole is moved in 1". These are good for larger 15 & 16" rims

Both std offsets and double offsets will require a shorten rear spring in most cases. There are some variables but that will depend on the rim & tire package you choose. If you call, it will be much easier for me to explain over the phone. Having a rim size in mind will help me help you.

Coilover arms are built on my std offset t-arm platform. Eliminates rear spring and is fully adjustable in ride height, spring rate and shock valving. We have a plan where we will swap out the coil springs 1 time if your not happy with the ride as long as they are not beat up and resellable. You just have to pay freight. We would like to talk to you to get a feel for what you plan on doing with the car and adjust spring rate from there.

Our coilover arms are the tubular arms. These arms use chromoly tubing w/delrin bushings. The upper arms have 6 degree's of positive caster built into the them. This will help the car track straighter and give you better turn in. The lowers come in 2 configurations. Stock shock & spring or true coilover.

Drop me a line with your e-mail and I will send you articles on how to remove the front and rear suspension. I can also send you the coilover instructions to review if you would like. Our e-mail addres here is vansteel@vansteel.com

Here are a few recent links w/regards to our coilovers.
