Default Is it possible to do this?

I bought a new front nose piece for my 79 and its urethane. Like any other aftermarket crap, does not fit too well. Can I use something to bond in the gap and smooth it out to make it look like one piece that has the best chance of not cracking? Thanks

No. If you wish to blend the part line and not have it crack later the bumper you start with must be fiberglass.

They DO make urethane filler. It's called Evercoat PolyFill I believe. Paint stores should carry it.

You can't weld aluminum to steel and have it stick, and you can't bond urethane to fiberglass and have it stick... I don't care what you use for glue. It might work long enough to sell the car to some unsuspecting new owner, but if you keep it it will crack for sure... no ifs, ands or buts.

Maybe a little heat might make the nose a little more flexible. I don't mean break out the torch, I mean leave it out in the sun for awhile!
