I remmeber that some time ago somebody posted that he wanted to build a
harness bar for the C3. Anything ever come of it? Any installed pics?
I'm looking for a bar for my 69 vert of course?
Vetteworks will be selling C3 harness bars for '74 thru '77 in two weeks. More info. about the package will be display on my web page.www.vetteworksonline.com Here are some pictures of the prototype. The production Bar is very similar.
The C3 Bar installs without any cutting or modifications to the interior and will keep you securely in place when autocrossing and exceeds NHRA standards. The C3 Bar comes with quick release brackets so the lap and crotch belts can be removed easily. The C3 Bar attaches to the existing seat belt anchors and doesn't block access to the rear compartments. It aligns the belts to the proper angles and the stock seat belt can be used in conjunction with a 5-point harness belt for added security. Part of the harness bar has a bracket where the crotch strap attaches; this can include a mount for a fire extinguisher. The bar is made from 1-1/4" Dai. 4130 Chrome molly steel and 1-1/4"width x 1/4" thick cold roll flat bar and is MIG & TIG welded. Currently I am working on Bars for ’78 thru ’82. A harness bar for '68 thru '73 is not currently in the works because of the seat belt anchor locations.

Vettedan, I tried to go to your website, but my browser was unable to find the page. You may have a problem that your not awarr of, but it also could be on my end.
Stefan here is a thread that was posted some time ago there were very good ideas, i really like smoketires set up and it looks like is a pretty good price. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=272555
69Myway-That's a pretty slick set up. Nice job! Maybe you can manufacture this design for the roadster guys? They have been left out for a harness bar.

Your website indicates that your beautiful chrome roll bars are custom made. Can you pass on who the builder was? I'd like to investigate a similar unit for my 71 vert.
Thanks,
Will

The fellow that built mine would be more than happy to make as many as people would like to have. He is a professional race car builder and driver. His work is fantastic, and high quality. He is currently doing a frame off restoration on a 71 coupe that is going to turn out to be awesome. We worked out a very unique trade, so I don't know what he charges to build these.
or, just call him EST (904) 272-2851 and asked for Jimmy Britts. Just tell him you saw my website, etc. and he will know what this is about. He built these for me in about two days, and had the to the powder coater on the second day. It took longer to get back from the powder coater than it took for him to build them. He used the same stuff that they build the full tube race cars with, and supplied me with the five point harness, of which we are only going to run as a four point. For the street purposes, he can supply you with belts that have expired dates on them at an extreme discount.
