Have a chance to pick up a new in the box system pretty cheap. Flows 900 cfm and is a complete system. I will have to install a fuel return line but could put it in the overflow tube in the filler neck. Does anyone here know of any issues or is it an OK system? Thanks
Thanks for commenting. I just went out and looked over the ECU and there is nowhere on it where it states which it is. I will say that even though this unit has never been removed from the box, it is a number of years old...maybe 15. Thanks.
As far as I know (which isn't much), about the after-market Holley EFI systems, the earliest was the Commander 950, but that's only around 5-6 years old.
I don't know if Holley have ever made an OE system or a complete/partial replacement for the Crossfire system?
The earliest Holley TBI systems were "screwdriver boxes." They had a series of ***** for adjustment and were not laptop programmable. They did not work that well, even then.

I had one years ago the screwdriver tune-able one. It worked but was not fun to set up. The lap top tune-able one is light years better.
Once I got it closely dialed in it was actually a good system.
I once had one of the early Holley Projection 4 units with the 3 screw adjustments on a 460 Ford in a Cobra, could not get it to adjust well enough, actually burnt a piston so we took it off and fitted a 870cfm Holley Street Avenger and it went way better. Now that they have the self learner type units, I'd be sure that it would be fine.
