Corvette Central makes entire dual exhaust systems from the header gasket all the way out to the tailpipe. Block hugger headers, tho, that's the only drawback. I'm pretty happy with mine so far, tho.
There ya go! (too bad they are not the same price, huh?) I was looking at these a few weeks ago, and asked the forum about them. Several people said they were good headers, no fitting problems, plenty of clearance, plenty of ground clearance, no problems with getting at spark plugs or header bolts. I decided to save up and get some Stan's tri-y headers, but they are almost $500.00, so it'll be the block huggers I have now for awhile.
I have those headers and the CC exhaust on my '81 and the mufflers are too quiet for my taste. If I had a '73 like you, I would order the headers and get the Flowmaster exhaust kit. I had a flowmaster kit on my '81 Camaro and I have one currently on my Silverado and they both sounded great.
If I could fit the Flowermaster kit on my Corvette with out the crossmember mods it needs to fit it I would have went that route.

Which Flowmaster kit should I get? When i checked the website I only found systems that fit Camaros and Novas but not corvette
You don't need 3" exhaust for a 350, 2 1/2" are more than adequate. Personally I would use the Walker-Dynomax Turbo mufflers and have your local exhaust shop fit some 2 1/2" pipes.

Ok, but I would need to reducers in order for the pipes to fit the headers I want correct?
No, the headers come with "reducers" that bolt up to the headers. I have the Summit headers as well. They come with reducers that are necked down to 2 1/4" already read the fine print "mounting hardware, and 2.250 in. reducers are included". You just cut them back to where the 2 1/2" pipes mate up.
