I am prepairing to install new trailing arms that have poly bushings and am gathering everything I might need (saw blades, first aid kit, beer, etc). I have read in a couple of threads to lube the poly bushings with waterproof marine lubricant or 'whale snot' - does anyone know an actual brand name/part# ? Something that West Marine perhaps sells?
I use Krytox in the squeeze tubes, I believe it's a silicon based lubricant and will not degrade the bushings like petroleum based lubes and stays put longer.
if you can buy 10-12 inch blades you can save money.you will only use about 1 inch of cutting at a time .when that part goes bad cut it off and go some more .its faster and cheaper that changing blades.i used regular grease so far so good for me .drink one beer before you get started .it was easier than i thought it was going to be, the bolt is soft.

i have poly bushings in the rear end and if i had to do it again i would use rubber bushings....i believe becasue of how the trailing arm is suppose to move the poly bushings create suspension binding. just a thought
Well, these are supposed to be the 'double' offset trailing arms and I understand they are smaller than standard bushings - so no choice as to poly verses rubber. I purchased them used and have not confirmed the 'double' offset or the bushing size. If anyone can provide dimensions / photos to confirm what I have, that would be great. I'll get some pics of the arms tomorrow.

Neither of these items cost this much a few years ago.

"There are a couple of differences between the (TA-06) standard offset t-arms and the TA-06D) double offset t-arms. The nose bushing up front on the standard offsets is a stock replacement poly bushing while the double offset arm uses a custom poly bushing which is smaller. Also the double offset have the spring bolt hole moved in 1" on each side and you have to buy a 1" shortened spring. Most of the time guys use the double offsets when they run a 15" or 16" tire package. The additional inboard clearance is crutial b/c of side wall flex during a turn"
