Default Electrical again, wrenching on road

Broke down twice
Short story, My C6 and C3 to the dragstrip, dont make it, Sheriff jump start, 10 more miles and she's dead as a doornail. Wal mart battery and cables purchased, installed and jumped w/ the C6
Go to our home bar (1 block f/ home) 3 beer and home
Trouble shot low ammeter gague yesterday w/ meter and everything seemed good.

Disclaimer: i read the 2 current threads and looked at the drawings for my 68

73 road race, L98, 383 stroker, MSD 6AL and dist,TPIS, Dart heads, Hooker and sidepipes.
New alternator and belt 2 months ago, threw the belt and replaced the morning of these gremlins, need advice
ES Tach, Autometer in car ammeter RadioShack multimeter
12.5vt on system cold start The tach increase is a seperate issue

RPM.................batt................ ..alt post...............ammeter
750
800/825............13.1..................14. 51...................solid 14
.......................13.3............. .....12.56....................12-14
1000-25
solid 1000.........12.11................11.10. .....................10.5 w/ lights/radio

the ammeter gague will flick up to 14 for a while, then back to 10.5

Guess it's time for a test drive, still can't find the problem

Do you have a good ground on the alternator? Maybe a loose connection or bad connection through the brackets.
