Default Most HP with crossfire?

Who here has the most HP while still retaining use of the crossfire injection? What modifications were made to achieve those power levels?

I'm curious since I've always liked the '82s and am curious how much potential exists in them.

Really not much left on the table over stock with these, as low cfm flow tuned for good low rpm torquey feel. Really nothing wrong with the set up for its intended purpose, but if wanting to really hot rod one, probably cheaper to go with a conventional carb set up.

Well, when you are wanting BIG horsepower, you don't get that FREE, in any case. You can probably get some significant gains with larger throttle bodies, better breathing heads and a better cam. Whether you do that with a carbed engine or with the CrossFire would likely cost about the same money for the same horsepower. If you like the '82, I don't see why you shouldn't go that way if 400 hp or less will work for you. You might check out the cost of better throttle bodies before you 'pull the trigger' on a purchase. The other hardware will be the same cost for either engine design.

you can get around 400 hp.the heads intake and cam all need to be changed ,they are set up for smog and mpg.they have a new renagade intake that will help a lot .most aftermaket heads will be a improvement.pick the cam for what you are wanting to do with it .http://www.crossfire.homeip.net/index.php?act=idx
