Maybe someone worked over the hinges before me.
Well that might be what happened - the hinges were already busted by a pre owner. When i came to pick the seats up they wouldn't fold enough to get them in my hatch back camaro so i took the hinges apart to get the seats to fold and those pieces are what came out.
I don't have a '79 assembly manual so i need to rescearch more. I don't know of any vendor that sells those parts though.

'79-'82 aim?
Anyone have a '79-'82 assembly manual? Looking for the seat hinge assembly. Maybe shown or maybe not shown. Hopefully shown in an exploded view. That little plastic part is sandwitched inside the metal hinge and its hard to figure out how it works.
I'm working on putting a set of '82 seats in my '68 as we speak. I also have busted inertial locks - no one sells them? I'm tempted to just remove them as well.
For that matter I don't see anyone selling the whole hinge even.
Also.... I would love more info and/or pics from someone who's put a set of 79-82 seats in a 68-72 car.
