There is a l ittle black pull out switch under the steering column, with it pulled out, the lights stay up but off. In and they retract with the headlight switch
Yes, check the switch, it'll do it haha. If not the switch I'm not really sure. Im in the same boat!
I have a similar problem; my driver side headlight works fine, but the passenger side will not come up by itself? If you help it up, it comes up. And the weird thing is that the headlight seems to clip the edge, like it is mis-adjusted. (it even has chipped the paint) So i'm not sure if It can't come up because it is rubbing, or if there is a vacuum problem. Has anyone heard of this? and is there a way to adjust their movement?
PS it also takes longer to go back down, and sometimes doesn't even go down.
Its quit likely the orfice in the front of that one headlight actuator. Its replaceable. Wilcox or another supplier will have it.
Take the hose off the one thats not working and suck on it. Light should go down. If its like sucking through a straw with no reistance its likely the orifice or the entire actuator. Pull the dust cover off the front of the actuator and see if the orfice is torn.
