2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (appearance mods)
C1 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
68 big block fly-wheel.......
We want a stock steel flywheel for this build and the General doesn't list it anymore. Can I get a recommendation on a USA built quality steel unit. Got all the pros and cons on aluminum and will stick with the old steel one. They should be used on other GM cars/years as well right? Thanks.

Internal or External balance Flywheel.

Sorry guys, it's an externally balanced 454 (1979 block).

3993827 is available. Probably made in Mexico these days, but still a quality piece.

Are these OEM GM flywheels with the casting numbers, cast iron or cast steel?

3993827 is cast iron. I weighed it at 29 lbs, although the catalogs list it at 22.
