A friend of mine got raped at the local Nationalautoreillynapa parts store on a $185.00 REBUILT "CORVETTE" water pump for his 1972 Big Block GMC pickup.
Just a piece of trivia.
Several years ago my water pump failed. I went to a friend who owned a NAPA store and looked up the number, and he had none in stock.
I asked if I could check a few boxes to see if I could find something close so I could get running again.
After looking in several boxes, I found the 'exact' pump. Same shaft, flange was correct, and the casting number was identical.
We looked up the number on the box and it was for a '57 Chevy truck 283.

Bet it also listed higher for the vet and lower for the truck part. There alot of parts like this that if you ask for by corvette part it will be jacked up as compared to the exact same part under a less expensive car.
