Default Steering Box Lubrication

What is the correct way to lube the steering gear box? Mine is manual steering, there doesn't seem to be a grease zerk visible, do you need to take the top cover off and pack grease in it ? If so, is there a chance to mess up any of the steering mechanism ?

Remove rear cover bolt and the inner bolt, fill through the hole of rear bolt till it pours out of the other hole.

I use gearlube in my steeringbox

A good lithium based chassis (ball joint) grease is recommended. Just fill through the side cover bolt holes. Do not try and fill the box 100%. You need some air space inside the gear box for the grease to expand when things get warm underhood.
