Power Steering Cylinder Seal ??
My 78 began weeping power steering fluid a little and it seems to be coming from the cylinder (or ram), specifically it looks as if its coming from the seal on the end of the ram.
Is it possible to replace that seal only by unbolting the ram from the frame and removing the snap ring from inside the bore? I am interested in doing it without removing it from the car. Will the seal pop out after the snap ring is removed?

I've never tried it but have heard of guys replacing the seal on the car.
It sounds a little messy but they remove the snap ring ,start the car,turn the wheel and blow the seal assembly out,shut off the engine,remove the ram shaft from the frame,slide off the seals,clean and replace with new. Sounds pretty simple.
