Toronto C3 Get Together - Updated List......
Hi Guys,
I have the following people confirming they are coming to my house. If you are coming and not on the list, please let me know.
NB: DO NOT SPEED ON MY STREET - LOTS OF KIDS!!!!!

Well, lookin' out my window, the sky appears to be reasonably clear, which is good. They're saying the rain won't start until this evening, so we should be OK for pictures in the Castle parking lot.
Too bad we're only going to get to +9C, give or take.

Why don't you guys come down to South Florida and meet here? It's only a 3 - 4 days trip... We have +30C here.....

Hey Dwayne, have you recovered from having your car sat on yet. It got a little scary when the guys in the Penguin suites were thinking of sitting on all of our cars. They took one look at our Wayne's mug and thought better of it. What a giggle guys sorry to Dwayne and Wayne I guess we got lost on Eglington. Next time hopefully it will be warmer for you T-top kinda guys who are to wussy to take them off. Did you notice that the 2 who drove verts had their tops down. :hat

If I drive that many miles, I like to stop at interesting places. I take my time not to get into any accidents.
Every Thanksgiving I drive from Miami to Baltimore - which is a 1100 mile trip..
Depending on traffic it takes me 13 - 15 hours... However - I usually rent a car for that trip. I wouldn't drive my Vette with constant 90 - 100 mph for 1100 miles. First of all - the RPM would be be above 4000 RPM and the engine would get pretty hot. Second - I would get 5 MPG. The fastest speed I currently drive my Vette on longer trips is 70 mph. At 70 mph I get 12 mpg. At 65 I get 16 mpg.... However - everything will change when I get my Tremec TKO (0.68 overdrive).
I think that with a C3 Vette without overdrive - it will take at least 2 full days or more for that trip. With a regular late model car you can easily do it in 1.5 days....
