I'm in the process of a complete frame off restoration and it has come time to order shocks. I am needing to figure out which shocks to order. It's not going to be raced or anything. Just go to car shows and drive on the weekends. I just want a smooth and comfortable ride. Any siggestions?

You'll get a ton of opinions but why not simply stick to Delco service replacements?
Call VBP or Van Steel and have them match the shocks to the springs you will be using. The spring and shocks should be matched by a pro to work the best for your application.
For stock springs and a cushy but better controlled ride... KYB GR-2s. Better damping than Delcos et al, and less aggressive than Gas-Adjusts or Bilsteins... and reasonably priced as well.

I have the kyb gas adj, but wish I went with the kyb gr-2's..... oh well..i have close to 30k on this set, im almost ready for some new ones... will be getting kyb gr2
KYB GR-2's are VERY mushy! If you want a caddo ride they are your shock. KYB Gas A just will offer some performance but they too can ride rather soft and should not be used with a rear composite spring-very bouncy. The best all around shock by far-ride and handling is the Bilstein heavy duty-NOT the sports. They not only ride better than just about any other shock but offer real performance-you pay for both!
I have a vansteel 200 rear composite spring installed. I was told that the heavy duty were just for performance and the ride suffered with them. Im not sure though thats why I am asking for siggestions. I dont want to get it put all back together then not like the way it drives.
For what you want to do with the car, put some Delco gas shocks on your car. But, if you have a lot of money in the car already, might as well 'pop' for the Bilstein HD's.
Just called vansteel and they recommended the kyb gr-2f shock for the rear with the composite spring. He said this shock is specially designed for the composit spring. And they are reasonably priced at just under $60 and gr-2 shocks for the front.
