I did a search and reviewed a few post, but thought I may get new info. My 73 has approx. 1" fender flairs and I have relocated the emergency brake cable bracket. I would like to run a 9" wide rim, but selection is poor and custom widths is expensive. So, I am thinking a 10" wide on 5" b.s. would be cost effective, but am concerned about inboard clearance. Also, I am willing to shorten my fiberglass rear spring...

Reason: Spelling Rear Wheel
Good question. But for the use of this car a 15" wheel is fine. Given a preference I would rather have a straight axle- gasser style toy car.
Traditional look
Side wall give, as it is a 4 sp. manual
4:1 rear gear & non-overdrive, cruise speed is about 65 m.p.h.
Grid roads, where I live & would drive the car the roads are flat & straight, layed out in a grid
Back it in- a blip of the throttle will induce oversteer if desired for back road fun
My other car is a more than capable "handler"
Motorcycle if I really want to increase my heart rate.
