tps setting won't hold
Having trouble with my tps on my 82. Set it as close to specs as possible - .525. And, use the correct procedure. Ingition turned to on, but not start. Will hold for a short while and them check engine light appears. Check tps and it will be way off setting - either low or high. Exercise the throttle to make sure tang is setting properly on tab after tightening everything up. All is OK and then, goes out of adjustment. New tps about a month or so ago. Any ideas? At $60 a pop for a tps, do not want to keep changing them unless I can prove one is faulty, should that be the case.

Also, any benefit to setting the tps with the engine running? Either with a voltmeter or with winaldl? Know one time when I used a shop to set it, they said they just adjusted until the code went away. Sounds like engine would have been running when they did that.
