My 1982 all of a sudden (after sitting for the winter) will start OK but will not hold rpm's. If left at idle, it will die in a few seconds. I replaced the fuel filter and checked for vacumn leaks. Any other ideas?
Keep in mind that mine is a TPS-conversion and I have absolutely no experience with crossfires...but here is what helped for me anyway.
Mine would idle poorly and stall frequently. Only when giving it a bit of throttle would it stay running. I ended up removing the TBI, cleaning everything thoroughly and replacing the IAC motor. The full list of what has been done (if it can give you any ideas) can be seen here:
i would check fuel pump pressure .the pumps go out verry easy .the next time you try starting it take off the air filter and try starting it then look at the fuel spray .http://www.crossfire.homeip.net/index.php?act=idx
