4 Speed Shifter
Got a 4 speed 70 vette with the standard shifter #3921640. Was taking the shifter apart to clean it and when I took the rod out, it fell apart before I could get a good look at where the shim/plate went. Does it go between the reverse arm and the shift arm? Or does it matter?
Does anyone have a blown up picture or assembly instructions for this shifter? The pictures I have seen so far do not show where this shim/plate goes.
Any help will be appreciated.

If you are referring to the reverse interlock, it goes between the reverse lever and 1/2 lever.
From left to right...3/4 lever, 1/2 lever. reverse interlock. reverse lever.
