Default Which next Vette?

I want to get a second vette but can't decide which one

Which is better-
C4 ZR1
C5(don't like the hardtop look on the Z06)
or wait for C6
Also is it worth paying $15-20,000 more for a ZR1 vs. an LT4 330hp? :flag

Chris,
I would all depend upon what you want the car for. The ZR1 would be an excellent collector, the LT4 would be a great driver. The C5 is, currently, a dime a dozen, they are everywhere, nothing unique about them now.

Personally, I would buy another Shark! No, seriously, given the options, I would definitly buy an LT-4 before a ZR-1. I really like ZR-1's (and who doesn't?), but the maintenance costs would kill me. ZR-1 owners in our club tell stories about their $500 repairs that would cost about 30 bucks on my '77. Parts are expensive and finding a mechanic who understands the LT-5 could prove a challenge.

As far as late-model Vettes go, I would look at a '96 LT-4 or a C-5. I understand the C-5 was designed with bolt-on panels so the C-6 will most likely be just a re-skin of the C-5. So if you buy a C-5 now and later wish you had waited, you could probably buy a body kit and have your C-6. Also, there is no telling how many times the C-6 might get delayed. The C-5 project dragged on for 10 years before its debut in 1997. (Of course, it featured a lot of new technology as compared to the C4.) At any rate, only you can answer the question you posted. It all depends on what you want. Good luck!
