Adjustable throttle bracket for Qjet?
Anyone running an adjustable throttle bracket on their Qjet? Where can i buy one? I really don't want to replace my cable again.
Also, where do i buy assorted throttle return springs for a Qjet? How bout for any carb?
When the trottle cable went bad on my 79 I bought a Lokar trottle cable and bracket from Summitt. Very smooth and adjustable.
Same as above.
Lots of adjustment available with the Lokar cable.
Springs can by had at any hardware store with a multitude of lengths and tensions.
Good Luck!

Trying to avoid swapping cables.
I read nothing but good 'bout Lokar cables. But replacing previous cable was no fun that i recall. I think even the seat had to come out to get enough of me upside down to get to it. Hopefully i'm wrong but that's what i recall.
So now i'm willing to learn bracketology.

Young69, did u have problems with the throttle sticking and then cutting that plastic fixed? Not much plastic to trim where it fits onto the Qjet throttle bracket. Maybe some new springs and a little bendology of the bracket can help. I don't know if hardware store springs are correct for this application. But my current spring is 37 yrs old original.
What i need is to loop the cable enough to reduce the bend angles in it now - but how?
Bubba originally gave me a '74 truck carb according to Lars and my foot to the floor did not open the primaries enough, so I was able to shave off some plastic and it fit perfectly. When the Lars carb went 6 mos later, I had to shave it a little more for the Holley.

Cut the plastic but then the cable gets more slack?
So if i cut the plastic back on the cable sheath then the wire gets more slack - correct? Do i need to loop the wire somehow to take up that slack? Loop around/between a screw & nut?
I believe i can only trim off so much or the cable is shot and will have to be replaced.
