Default New carpet and insulation

I have been reading about carpet and insulation for my 75. Does anyone know if Ecklers still sells ACC or Al knoch. The post I have read might be dated and retailers might have switched suppliers. I am looking for the best quality and fit over price.

Also, I ordered madvette insulation and am trying to decide between Dynomat xtreme (reasonable price on amazon or streetside auto) or hushmat for noise.

thanks in adance for the help

I am using Corvette Central carpet and their thin padded foil sided insulation. I have done the passenger side and the fit was perfect, I just laid it in there over the insulation, didn't even glue it.

There is a piece of the insulation for the tunnel and I touched the drivers side tunnel the other day and then the passenger and the difference in heat was unbelievable. The drivers side was warm while the passenger side was cool or about the same as the ambient temperature. I am sold.

The carpet has some sound deadening material under it in different areas, mostly under the seat

I went with Ecklers and they had ACC. Great fit. Some trimming in the back, but that was ok. The floor pieces went in well. I only did minor trimming under the sill plates.

I used hushmat then reflectix. Husmat is thin and flows in to the nooks and crannies. The refelectix works well too. Now only my shifter shaft gets hot.

We also offer a premium layer for our C3 kits. It is a peel and stick Ensolite IUO insulation material. This is a very high grade foam/adhesive combination that will handle high heat, is fire retardant just like regular IUO and is stretchable enough for easy install. It makes a nice addition to our standard insulation kit. We have seen up to an additional 3db in sound reduction with this added.
This kit includes the following pieces:
  • Driver & Passenger front floorboard pieces, with holes cut for seat bolts and pedals.
  • Driver & Passenger side tunnel pieces, cut around your e-brake.
  • Full center console pieces, with holes for the center console bolts
  • Full Cargo area floor pieces.
  • Full Side rear wheel well pieces.
  • Rear wall behind the seats.
Here is a picture for a C5 Coupe.

I have ACC and did the back already. Some trimming was required - not too bad though.

Anyone have any pics of the front install? I'm not sure how far to trim up or under the sill plates? Ditto at the center tunnel? My front carpet was just about "gone" when I took it apart - so I have no reference to go by.

This looks similer to the insulation kit I bought from a madde vette who is a vendor on this site. How does it compare to what I bought and to hush matt and dynamat xtreme?

I got the complete carpet set from Wilcox and it fit like a glove. The price was great and so was their service.
