Default 435 1969 vette vapour lock

435 3x2 car run,s great, when driven in traffic car starts to stall I have to heal and toe the gas, power valve is correct timing is correct have a ceramic spacer between carbs stock jets stock fuel pump which is new fuel line is correct for car and new running temp 160f any suggestions Thankyou

did you check float levels? have you checked for a vacuum leak? The stock pump has a return line?

1969 corvette does not have a return line on the fuel pump. Float level is a bit low just under site hole, shake the car fuel will come out . I think newer vettes were vented at fuel pump Thankyou

Float sounds right, have you tried warming up the car, bringing it back home and adjusted the mixture and idle speed screws on the center carb?

These carbs where restored about a year a go saw some crap when I took out the jets. Iam going to soak the carb in cleaner and blow it out Iam not convinced that was the problem I will reajust the carb maybe richen the mixture screws I read some where the fuel pump may be the problem but you can see fuel in the carb when pumping the throttle maybe the fuel is boiling in the carb maybe an electric pump high pressure will work I would hate to change over thankyou
