what did i do wrong here? headers and alternator mount

Default what did i do wrong here? headers and alternator mount

so, flotech lists these as being for pre 70 chevy small block with headers, and the alternator being on the drivers side. seems pretty simple.


so... wtf happened here?

after a nice little fight getting the mounting bracket back off, i see why it doesnt fit.

the damn thing, while saying it fits the drivers side, is really for the passenger side.

Have you got assesorie holes in the ends of the heads ? If you do, just use an alternator bracket for a 75.

Those aftermarket lower brackets fit either pass or drs side, but works better on drs side.
Anyway just get a factory lower bracket and it won't interfere with the header at all.
