Rear Spring Adjustment
Hello All,
Just finished restoration of the rear end of my 69 and need some help. It has the fiberglass spring. How do I adjust the tension on the spring and what is the proper ride height etc? I realize I can loosen or tighten the spring bolts but I don't know how much or how little. Do I need to have the wheels elevated to do this?

The spring tension will not adjust. The only thing you can do is shorten or lengthen the bolt to raise and lower the vehicle. Really don't matter whether its off the ground or not, but you will have to let it down and roll it to tell what you did.

You asked about ride height too.
In the front of the AIM there's a sheet for "TRIM HEIGHTS", in my 71 AIM it's UPC 0, Sheet A-12.
An easy one to check is the dimension from the ground to the center of the rear wheel arch. About 28".
The size (height) of the tires affect this dimension. It's based on F-70 tires which were about 27" tall.
