Default Technical seat belt installation question

So I removed the roof panel and got the old seat belt "spool" off but I don't understand how I am supposed to get the buckle through the slot in the roof panel, it don't fit.

Any one done this before and can help me ?

OK I put my glasses on and see there is a removable insert in the slot.

Now do I have to put the new seatbelt winderupper into the original box that has a rivet in it ?

Ok so far so good, one last question, the original seat belt re-tractor or the thing that wind the belt up has a bolt on the top and and a tab on the bottom that goes into a groove in the birdcage. It is secured both top and bottom.

The new re-tractor does not have a tab at the bottom and only has the bolt on the top. Is this safe ?

I was talking to product assistance at CC and he said the bottom tab was there to make it easier on the assembly line to install the seatbelt. He said one guy hooks the bottom tab in and the next guy puts the top bolt in ?

Anyone have any opinions on this ? So far the help has been fantastic and has gotten me this far
