I hear what your saying, I'm not convinced the Northern will perform as well as the Dewitts and to be fair, unless a side by side comparison is done on the same vehicle how would you really know for sure which one is better?
My vette does not need a product because other vette owners insist on it, lol but at a car show or for re sale value, authenticity, I'm sure having a Dewitts under the hood is a plus.
I dont think it's $200 thrown away-there are some advantages, other than cooling that I mentioned above that might be worth the $$$ to some owners for personal reasons or preference. You don't care about those reasons, frankly neither do I but others do and certainly Dewits can market and advertise to those potential buyers.
Not sure I agree with the no ebay link rule but it's not my place to say.

I'm not really sure why these radiator threads have to get so....shall I say confrontational for lack of a better word. To "nomomopars" it's your money and you should spend it how ever you choose. You can buy a Dewitt's that you have heard all about his pricing, quality, fitment, customer service and satisfaction or you can choose to go with one of the alternatives that have worked for others. It's you money and your choise.
On the other hand couldn't this forum have the same type of debate about tires - Michelin vs Hankook? Maybe wheels - American made billit wheels vs China made cast wheels. Yet we don't. Mention radiator and all H3ll breaks loose.
It seems when it comes down to dollars and cents it's the choise of the purchaser to decide where the line is between cost and quality. To some quality comes 1st to others cost comes 1st and then there is the middle which is the the best quality that one can afford. Choosing one over the other doesn't make someone stupid, squandering, or a genius for that matter. It's a personal choise that they should be comfortable with. In the end that's really all that matters. What's good for me may not be good for you and what's good for you may not be good for me. Something to keep in mind......no?
To the O/P good luck with what ever you choose.

Thats all fine as long as a potential buyer knows he has choices and without someone speaking up against the masses he doesn't know any other choice besides 1.
Some people see a $500 radiator or any other part and know they can't afford it so they either do without or just let the car deteriorate until they sell it or it sits in the back yard for ever.
Im just being a consumer advocate!

A heavy duty brass rad from rockauto.com costs less than $300, incl shipping. Make sure you also have the seals, cushions, air dam and new stat. Temp gauge should stay below 200 deg.

Well stated, I was starting to wonder if common sense had left the CF.

It is odd that radiators stand alone in these emotional threads and I can only conclude that it's my participation that fuels it. I used to think that by participating in cooling questions I could help someone with a problem but that is not possible any more. That's because you not only have two completely different opinions on where to buy, you also have two opposite sources of information. Those with real facts, based on years of experience and those that don't.

How is someone that's trying to find out accurate information going to benefit with all this bickering going on? I can't post anything any more without it appearing as sales talk and propaganda. It was eluded to that we would be lost without the CF as a sale source, when the reality is it mounts to less than 1% of our sales. I sign on to the CF to help people and if that results in a sale then great, if not, that's fine too. I hesitated to post anything in this thread even after reading comments like, "a second mortgage" and "supporting the economy" but once again I got sucked in. It won't happen again

Really? Really? Tom, I would love to address every statement you just made, but I would love even more to stay on CF. so... I'll keep my mouth shut.

As far as the test, I was waiting for you to get back from your show... I will call you tomorrow or Wednesday and look forward to any test you want to have performed.

And, honestly, ..... I do hope your unit comes out on top in this cooling test. You make the rules, you make the test, you make the guidelines, and I will follow them to the tee.

As far as looks,.... like rims, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
As far as fit,....... your wins hands down. As far as I know most of the other units seem to be 1/4" narrower than the stock unit, where as yours is a correct fit.
Build (how well its put together),..... I don't know, as I have not seen yours yet.... But, I am thinking yours will be better, being less of a mass production unit... but I am just guessing here.
Cooling,...... Now this is what we need to figure out how to test....and this is what we can talk about... you make the rules, .... just be fare, which i have no doubt you will be.
