Well...Here goes... I have almost pretty much near about decided to have my
77 painted. The car is in very good shape otherwise. It'll be around
$5000 for the on-frame job with a very reputable vendor. The shop
specializes in vette restorations and collision repair.
Some shops will discount they're work if you do the initial prep working (sanding off the old paint) - However *caution* is advised due to 'rounding' off corners & loosing the 'lines' of the fenders, etc.....
Oh answer to the first question about 'loosing your mind ?' - yup, that's from hanging out in the C3 forum ! :lol: :lol: :lol:
That sounds pretty fair given what I have read here about the amount of work involved. Think how little that would contribute to the price of a new car and you will see what a bargain it is!!! :yesnod: (I know it is an unfair comparison but I am trying to help you to justify spending a heap of money on your toy.
