Oh Yeah!!!
Hey Todd yours turned out great. I don't remember seeing the finished pics before, it looks fantastic!! & I bet you've never slipped/squealed the belt!
I can't say for certain, but I believe most OEM setups for big block pickups etc would use a long waterpump. I think that would cause some interference issues with the crank pulley and the frame in a Vette application. March, Zoops, or other aftermarket suppliers may be the better bet.
Street & Performance has a "Vette" big block set-up for A/C and power steering. It is a beautiful system and MUCH less expensive tham a March or Concept One system. They build their own stuff and trim the excess tabs off of the Sanden compressor, use rear connections and clock the alternator or use the later model alternator.
Go to their online catalog, then to page 122 for the "BBC Vette" system. You can find prices and such on pages 119 and themn read the notes for the other parts like the alternator and the reverse rotation water pump.
I'm putting on a Vintage Air Front Runner also to my 454 small block. Had to slightly notch the front cross member, but this setup is BY FAR the most compact, the best looking, and the highest quality I have ever seen.
I have a March system on my 468 that I'm removing (installing a LS2/6speed) and according to them it will fit under a stock BB hood, I have a L88. March system will be going up for sale and the car will be in South Louisiana if interested in the system.
I have not worked on the car in four years but just recently got back on it. I bought the march system for big block corvettes. no frame modification needed. it uses two belts. here are a few pics of the install, I finished it yesterday and it works fine. I need to take finished pictures
here is the finished product.
clearance of the front crosmember
the power steering reservoir is from summit racing I had to fab a bracket and mount it to the head

Good to see you back on the vette and forum,
I had not seen any posts from you in a while,
The serp setup looks great,
That is the same reservoir I have on mine,
Be careful with those SS lines rubbing on metal parts, the braid will break and the inner liner will rupture causing a mess (dealing with that right now).
Curious if that reservoir has a small internal Tee fitting (distribution fitting) on the return line?
