Be careful with those SS lines rubbing on metal parts, the braid will break and the inner liner will rupture causing a mess (dealing with that right now).
Curious if that reservoir has a small internal Tee fitting (distribution fitting) on the return line?

yes I got burnt out and bummed out when the paint started to freak out on me so it sat in the shop corner for 5 years untouched. I built several other cars and trucks in the mean time. I recently got fired up about finishing it and hope to be on the road this summer. thanks for the tip I will make sure those hoses are not touching anywhere, mine has a fitting on the inside with holes drilled in the side to control the return pressure.
