Default Shift Boot

My Vette was born 7/23/68. Need to order a new shift boot and don't know if that is an early or late. The early has one and the late has two bends in the boot.

I don't have a exact date when the switch from the tall to short boot took place, but I would say that a 68 built on July 23, 1968 would have the 2nd design, shorter 69 type boot. July would be the very end of 68 production.

Corvette Central shows the tall boot as the early and and double fold as the late. I have gone through two of the double folds as they keep tearing high on the left side.
