Default Antenna Cable

Ok So I need/want to remove the antenna cable (new power one going in), it seems to be bonded on the molecular level to the actual antenna. Doesn't this come off somehow????
Also, when the cable comes up past the drivers kickpanel, where does it go on it's way to the radio? It seems to head up into the center gauge cluster (I hope not)
Haven't checked the AIM yet but do I have to take the front bumper off to get this cable out?

Hi M,
The cable can pass under the speedometer and tachometer but over the steering column. It then travels down at a slight angle behind the radio and plugs into the passenger side of the radio.
Regards,
Alan

You can just make out the cable connection behind the kick-panel vent control cable.

Yup, over the steering, under the gauges, (around the rear view mirror, out one side vent around the distributor and back in the other side). I'm not sure how many wires I've unplugged in the process of pulling it out
Well I wanted to change the rear window weather strip anyway so now that I have that side all apart might as well take the other side off and put the new one in
Thanks Alan, and as always, amazing collection of photo's you've got there
