Default borgeson and hydroboost?

i already installed the hydroboost and like it a lot. i just ordered the borgeson steering box and i am wondering if anyone here has any tips regarding installation, ie routing of hoses etc?

i have a 69 small block with existing leaky power steering.

i will probably have the header off before i start too, as i am installing side pipes. i have plenty of clearance between the stock box and my new headers so that shouldnt be a problem hopefully

any info is greatly appreciated.

thanks

mike

Here is a link I thread I read thru. There are several if you do a search.
I would like this but I have a BB and it barely fits with the stock steering box...

Default installed both on my BB

I have a 72 BB. I had the shop install both the Borgeson box and hydroboost before they reinstalled the engine. Both fit and look good. I have MacJacks headers so there a little room.

Funny, I had the work done prior to me moving back to Houston, however with the economy and the mess in the Gulf I took another job outside the US again!!

It looks like the vette will sit for a while longer!

If you have any pics of the fit, send them. What size are your primary tubes for those Mcjack headers? I had to dimple my header tube pretty good to get it to fit for the stock steering box.

Rob, I have the same concern, but in the latest issue of VETTE magazine, they did the conversion with a BB they put in a 69, and it fits. Also in one of the other threads, there's a few pics of BB's with this conversion, one guy used a grinder on one small area of the steering box and it fit.

But it's tight like you said!!

i got the borgeson box in with the hydroboost and my new sidepipes and all i can say is wow, what a difference. i am actually comfortable driving this car now, not afraid to mash the pedal anymore. drives like a train on tracks.
highly recommend this upgrade, but make sure to get the car aaligned after installation.
