Popping & Backfiring
I have a '73 L82 4 spd with the following set-up:
Edelbrock Performer cam
Edelbrock intake manifold
Mallory Unilite Distributor
Holley SA 4bbl
When I shut the car off she stops then about 3-5 seconds later I get a nice big pop out of the tail pipes. The instructions for the cam indicate that I should start with my initial timing at 14* BTDC. I've adjusted the timing up and down and doesn't seem to affect this....any suggestions?
