Who has the original Delco AM/FM/8-track/CB/Cassette unit?
Who has cut the dash and stuck in something more modern?
How about hidden systems?

Original and still working GREAT...I may put a box in the rear with a C.D. eventually but I would never put an aftermarket in the dash...Just looks wrong to me

Alwyn - What kind of speakers do you use with this...and did you add an amp to the original head? I would love to go original but want a good sound as well.
Thanks !
Modern times modern stuff, no need to live in the past. (unless you're an Amish :D) I don't ahve a killer sound system but it sure isn't that static catching thing that came OEM.

I believe that they are Polks....The last owner put them in and I am using the original Amp under the dash..Still works......It functions fine and works great as long as you are not on the Gas Too hard..Then Flowmaster music takes over  :smash:
I have an aftermarket Kenwood cassette AM?FM installed by the former owner that fits as original and works about as well. Take off the t-tops and listen to the mufflers.
I just love flippin' the Am/Fm band & those push-button station finders ! :yesnod:
Plus it has built-in (orig.) speaker distortion that really sounds like the 60's when Jimi Hendrix or Led Zeppelin tunes play !
I have the original Delco AM-FM-CB but I have a Pioneer CD changer mounted in the jack compartment so it can't be seen. It is FM modulated so it plays through the factory radio and speakers.

I have the original AM/FM radio, and it works great and looks great! I'd only install a modern unit if it was completely hidden. But then again this is far down in my list of priorities!
I bought the car with a digital CD player installed. They had to cut the gauge cluster to put it in. I have the original gauge cluster and radio, and both will be going back in to restore originality. Either way I can't really hear the radio anyway because of the sidepipes :D . Rather listen to the exhaust thunder anyway :yesnod: .

i was thinking about installing the unit in one of the comparments
and wiring the remote LCD screen to where the stereo is,
the LCD screen looks like it should fit without cutting
