I guess the rad shop didnt do that great of a job putting the tanks back on when they rebuilt the rad. I have a 16 lb rad cap and a 185 stat. according to the gauge, it runs just a tick under 200 all the time. So i am not having heating issues. what do i do for a replacement rad now. i am not going to get this one fixed again, it will most likely burst again on me. Lucky for me it happened in the garage when i got home.
I have to wonder if 16 lbs is too much pressure for this system, or if the rad was just too old to continue life?
This is a new rad cap, and the first time the rad has split. I took them the rad to re-rod etc when i was building the car. I wont take a chance of letting them fix it, obviously they have no skill at it. will be better off buying a new one.
