I had no problem doing this to my 82. Out with the old, in with the new. I did replace the four rubber pieces that hold it in place.

Thank you. was it a decent 4 core? i had one in my camaro once that had the cores too close together, and it didnt cool very well.? just curious if i should go 3 or 4 core.

I do not recommend auto tranny coolers in the end pan. I believe you need a separate tranny cooler independent of the water system in any higher performance app.

It just works better
. I dropped a 4 core radiator in a 74 with no problem. It was a none A/C car with a 427 BB

Can't believe im saying this... but......:-)was talking to Tom Dewitt, and he has a new larger core radiator he has just come out with.... I am thinking of getting it myself... should cool 20% better than the one he currently produces. good luck, p
