I drove my car today. After a short distance I saw smoke.I pulled over
oil had blown out the breather cap in the valve cover,on the passenger side..I was not a lot,but visable. What
could it be?Blown head gasket, broken rings? The car strong ,I pushed it up to 7000.No smoke out the pipes.
A little more info needed. like stock or after market valve covers. meaning you may have a non baffeled breather hole in the valve cover.
Tall non stock valve covers.mine has a baffled breather hole.I even put steel wool in it,thinking it would help stop the oil from comming, under hard acceleration.
Auto trans? Check the oil level. See if it's over full. If it has an auto trans your vaccume valve can go bad and pump trans oil into your engine ans cause smoke and way over full with oil.
Next I'd pull the valve cover that is full and se if the oil return is clogged and filling up while driving.
Just two gesses without more information. If it is the trans, you'll have a very clean block when it's done.
