Default 1982 crossfire

I have a 1982 with crossfire injection. I have rebuilt the TB and installed new injectors. Replaced all vacuum lines , EGR Valve, MAP Sensor, fuel filter, oxygen sensor and the car runs worse now than before I did all the repairs. It idles good but when I take it out to run it down the road it acts like it's flooding and back firing, then it will go. When I let off the gas and then get back on it , it does the same. Any help would be greatly apppriciated.

When you rebuilt the throttle bodies, did you re balance them as well? I'd check that first, out of balance tbs will cause a hesitation.

The front and back injector are different part numbers. Did you put the right on in the right place?

I suggest you put the old ones back in and see if the problem goes away.

check this first .if the car is flooding you dont have a fuel pump problem .i would look into the coolant sensor in the front of the motor.

My 82 had the same problem just not as bad. I replaced the coolant sensor and it got worse, changed back to original, some better but the same problem. I found that the connector to the sensor had lost it's inner insulation and must have been shorting out. I replaced the connector and sensor with a Delphi unit and it fixed the issue and made it idle much better.

Got my 82 running right. It was the fuel pump. It was the original fuel pump and the hose between the fuel pump and sending unit was completely shot. Put in new fuel pump and it runs great. I guess it was starving for fuel not flooding.
Thanks all
