82 ECM use on a carbureted engine
I have an 82 that is in it fourth year of a frame off restoration, and yes it has gotten way out of control. I attached a couple of PICs. I am beginning to check the wiring and wanted to eliminate the ECM, but now I want to use it to control the Fuel Pump (low oil pressure stops fuel pump) and Transmission (700r4). I removed the following groups of wires to simplify the wiring harness and clean up the engine compartment:
E Cell Timer Module
Canister Purge SOL
ESC
Idle Air A and B
Injector A and B
o2 Sensor
ESC Sensor
EST
Map Sensor
EGR Control
Air SW SOL
My question is, does it sound like I will meet get my desired results and has anyone done this and could share some tips?

I'm sure someone will come along that knows what to do. I know from reading past posts that you don't need the ecm for a conversion. There are other things you buy to get around the 700R issue and fuel pump issue.
I know for the pump they use an external pressure regulator which mounts on the firewall.
I know there is a component that you can buy to deal with the 700R kick down.
