Default Windshield Scratched

Just bought a 80' L82 and can't seem to pry my butt from the seat !! What a car. Problem ..... the windshield is scratched from the windshield wiper blade not being replaced when needed on the drivers side. Is there anything on the market to remove the scratches ?

I think if you take it to a windshieled or glass shop, they can polish it out. I would rather have them do it than try it myself

Not gonna happen guys. If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it can't be removed. Side window glass can be polished as it not tempered in the same fashion as the windshield.

Larry's got it right. If you can catch a fingernail in the scratch/gouge, you cannot polish it out. Why? It's like grinding an optical glass for a pair of eyeglasses. You can only take off so much, otherwise you get major distortion. Like astigmatism :) Chuck

Would you want it installed or are you considering doing it yourself? If you do it yourself it can be done for under $150.
