You're close... 2.8hp per cube on the dyno at Schmidt's.
2.8 per cube on the motor alone? holy $hit.... That's a pro stocker right there.....lol
Damn good power even if that's on the jug....
My guess would be 800-900 on motor and 300-400 on the fogger. Either way that is high 7 sec power in the right chasis....like a 10.5...
I hate to know what that baby set you back.
A buddy of mine recently did a short deck "454" from Naiser. Sheetmetal single dominator, painted big chiefs....made 1050hp with the nitrous tune up. Got a fogger and a plate. It's going in a 69 camaro 10.5w. The motor before he built it was in a 63 split window street car that went 7.80s on one small kit...with about 200hp less at the crank..... And drove it to car shows on the weekends...lol

This is not going in the Vette.
It's for our X275 Drag Radial car. Rules require a cast intake and with a big block we can only have one kit and also limited on max pill size 054. Limited to a 10.2 deck as well. The dyno results were with a .038 pill which leaves us plenty of room to step it up if needed. Minimum weight for big block cars is 2450, so we are good there. Actually going to have to add about 150lbs. of ballast. This should be a ton of fun on a 275 tire. We're limited to 275/60X15 rear tire! Most of the races are 1/8 mile and we will need to be in the 4.90's or better to be competitive. We ran 5.08 @ 149 MPH with basically the same motor that was 522" that made less power. Schmidt found something with the 518 combo that really helped broaden the curve and made way more up stairs.
And, can't run wheelie bars either!
bad *** car right there.... Any other pics of it? The 275 class cars are AWESOME to watch.....very entertaining.... 4.90s on a 275 is just insane...... It was just a few years ago 10.5w cars were running 4.90s.....

Good stuff man...
Got some pics... probably not appropriate on this forum.
I think the engine and tranny are the only forum appropriate pieces in the car.
I sure hope so. I would like to see video of that thing launching.
The launch is really pretty sweet. The car rolls out rather soft for about 20 feet then we begin bringing the power in on a fairly rapid curve and it picks the front up about 12 to 14 inches and carries it to about 500 feet or so and gently sits down. We always trip the 60' and the 330' clocks with the rear tires which give us slow numbers there. Have on occasion hopped the MPH clocks and have had some 200+ MPH time slips for the 1/8 mile!
